Neelima was called into beekeeping in 2018 and the bees have been incredible teachers. She hopes to always bring a beginner's sense of wonder and curiosity to her work with them while striving to support their instincts for healthful rejuvenation.  

Local homeschool kids know her as "The Swarm Collector".

Neelima is currently developing a community stewardship model to anchor a wildlife corridor serving mindfully tended bees and wild pollinators.  

We are in conversation with organizations such as United Plant Savers, to be designated growers, mindfully cultivating at-risk and endangered medicinal plants in their natural habitat.  The area we intend as the physical sanctuary is a natural home for many of these, including black and blue cohosh, ginseng, goldenseal, and members of the spikenard family.  The ones ultimately chosen will of course depend on the site itself.

We have a profound respect for the earth we occupy and are a part of.  We strive to be in authentic, open relationship with the land and the beings that occupy it~ to that end, we move on the land with reverence and with future generations in mind. Our buildings will be alternative/ natural/earthen; food and forage landscape will incorporate Permaculture and Biodynamic principles, and we will model many methods of repurposing, recycling, and redeeming resources, while including appropriate technology for a low-impact lifestyle of tremendous value...
